Home THOUGHT PROVOKING... AnonyMouse Randaom Rant 2
Randaom Rant 2

Life sucks.
Or does it?
Sometimes something happens in life and we just think it sucks. Why me? Why not that other bujia over there?

Mouse was crawling around Durban this last weekend. It was very rainy. But on Sunday, I decided to leave early. I had slept late the previous night, and was kind of buggered at Fajr, so I said I'll nap for a bit. Eventually I did get up and was basic

ally dilly dallying around the house in the early morning. I then had to go fill up the car. I was supposed to have left at around 7:00am but due to me just being slow I left a few minutes later(mum was quite upset about that). Nevertheless, I arrived at Engen 45th and parked by the petrol tanks. The tradition is I always stop by this garage and then go inside the Woolworths, because I like the store. But the bowser boys refused to come by my car, they were shouting from far away in one group and saying go away, no petrol. This got me quite annoyed but I just drove off. About 30 minutes later I came back to go the Woolworths and the whole place was surrounded by police. Apparently they were being robbed at the time, and thus the boys could not come close to the car.

An apparently irritating, bad situation of them not serving me, me having to go elsewhere, was actually something good. Me being late, was actually good. This is what we need to realise, in life something bad happens, but to our silly minds it seems bad, but Allah is saving us. The next time a proposal doesn't come through, some small incident, your cake flops....read 2 rakaats shukr to Allah for saving you from something bigger. We need to learn to accept whatever happens as His decree.

Life is like a journey. We have a destination, and we set out towards it. Think about a child who is learning to walk. When that child falls, does the child now say: Ok, I am a bit hurt now, so I am never going to get up....no. The child is up and trying again by the next morning or next minute. What does this tell us? The child has recognized his or her destination and is now going to it. We need to do the same. If our destination is Haraam, then we are in the wrong direction. Make your direction Allah and Jannah. Then sometimes you WILL fall and slip. You will commit some sin, you will fall in the gutter of dirt and sin. But do you chill there and play in that dirt, stinking? No...you get up and wipe yourself clean...then you go on. Don't be plagued by commiting a sin(not constantly). Get up, make Wudhu, make sincere Tawbah and make a resolution not to go back to it.

Life does not suck, if we realise everything is for Allah and we get up when we fall down(also recognize your destination).
I have to go for tea.
Make Dua.

Hadeeth Newsflash

Reported by Jundub bin `Abdullah (RA): The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said, "Once someone said: `By Allah! Allah will not forgive such and such (a person).' Thereupon Allah, the Exalted and the Glorious, said: `Who is he who takes an oath in My Name that I will not grant pardon to so-and-so? I have granted pardon to so-and-so and rendered your good deeds fruitless.''' [Muslim]
